Product Overview: Aceclofenac 100 Mg + Paracetamol 325 Mg + Serratiopeptidase 15 Mg Tablets

Composition:

Aceclofenac (100 mg): A non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used for its anti-inflammatory and analgesic properties.

Paracetamol (325 mg): A widely used pain reliever and fever reducer that works by inhibiting the synthesis of prostaglandins in the brain.

Serratiopeptidase (15 mg): A proteolytic enzyme known for its anti-inflammatory and fibrinolytic effects, aiding in the reduction of inflammation and pain.

Uses:
This combination tablet is designed to provide comprehensive relief from pain and inflammation. It is commonly prescribed for :

  • Osteoarthritis: To alleviate joint pain and stiffness associated with osteoarthritis.
  • Rheumatoid Arthritis: To reduce pain, swelling, and inflammation in rheumatoid arthritis.
  • Spondylitis: For managing pain and inflammation in ankylosing spondylitis.
  • Post-operative Pain: To control pain and reduce swelling after surgical procedures.
  • Musculoskeletal Pain: Effective in treating muscle sprains, strains, and other musculoskeletal disorders.
Functions:
  • Aceclofenac acts by blocking the action of cyclooxygenase (COX) enzymes, which are responsible for the production of prostaglandins. Prostaglandins are chemicals in the body that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. By inhibiting their production, Aceclofenac reduces pain and inflammation.
  • Paracetamol works centrally by blocking the enzyme cyclooxygenase, primarily in the brain, providing analgesic (pain-relieving) and antipyretic (fever-reducing) effects without significant anti-inflammatory action.
  • Serratiopeptidase enhances the breakdown of abnormal proteins at the site of inflammation, promoting faster healing and reducing swelling. It also improves blood circulation to the affected area, further aiding in the reduction of pain and inflammation.
Dosage and Administration:
The dosage of this combination tablet is typically one tablet taken twice daily or as prescribed by a healthcare professional. It should be taken with food to minimize gastrointestinal side effects.
Precautions:
  • Avoid use in patients with known hypersensitivity to any of the components.
  • Caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal ulcers or bleeding.
  • Should be used with caution in patients with hepatic or renal impairment.
  • Not recommended for use during pregnancy or breastfeeding unless deemed necessary by a healthcare provider.
Side Effects: Common side effects may include nausea, vomiting, indigestion, abdominal pain, and dizziness. Severe side effects are rare but can include gastrointestinal bleeding, kidney dysfunction, and allergic reactions.
